Louis Kohler was born in Braunschweig, Germany in 1820 and studied as a German composer in the Romantic period. He was also known as a conductor and piano teacher. He produced educational books for piano students. Louis Kohler composed music for opera and ballet. Many other famous people would have listened to the music created by Louis Kohler in Germany.

Special guests of the SherwinJTB Theatre for this debut include; Simon Sechter (Austrian music theorist, teacher, organist, conductor and composer); Ignaz von Seyfried (Austrian musician, conductor and composer); Adolf Jensen (German pianist, composer and music teacher); Hermann Goetz (German composer); Franz Liszt (Hungarian composer, virtuoso pianist and teacher); and Richard Wagner (German composer, conductor, theatre director and essayist).
