Franz Anton Hoffmeister was born in Rottenburg am Neckar, Germany in 1754 and studied as a German composer in the Classical period. He was also known as a music publisher. He was widely respected for his knowledge of musical instruments as shown in his works. Franz Anton Hoffmeister’s list of personal friends include some of the most famous composers of that time. Many other famous people would have listened to the music created by Franz Anton Hoffmeister in Vienna.

Special guests of the SherwinJTB Theatre for this debut include; Joseph Haydn (Austrian composer); Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (prolific and influential composer); Ludwig van Beethoven (German composer and pianist); Muzio Clementi (classical composer, pianist, pedagogue, conductor, music publisher, editor, and piano manufacturer); Johann Georg Albrechtsberger (Austrian musician); and Carl Ditters von Dittersdorf (Austrian composer and violinist).
