Carl Czerny was born in Vienna, Austria in 1791 and studied as an Austrian composer in the late Classical period and Romantic period. He was also known as a pianist and teacher. Carl Czerny was first taught piano by his father and later by other well known musicians. He has an extensive list of compositions and many of which were related to studies on piano. Many other famous people would have listened to the music created by Carl Czerny in Austria.

Special guests of the SherwinJTB Theatre for this debut include; Muzio Clementi (Italian classical composer, pianist, pedagogue, conductor, music publisher, editor, and piano manufacturer); Johann Nepomuk Hummel (Austrian composer and virtuoso pianist); Antonio Salieri (Italian composer and conductor); Ludwig van Beethoven (German composer and pianist); Gioachino Rossini (Italian composer); and Klemens Wenzel (German-Austrian politician and statesman).
