Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach was born in Weimar, Germany in 1714 and studied as a German composer during the transition of the Baroque period and Classical period. He was also known as a keyboard player and teacher. Bach made a name for himself and had an astounding influence on the birth of Classical music. Many people may recognize him as the son of Johann Sebastian Bach who was also a distinguished German composer. Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach’s famous quote stated that music should come from the heart. Many other famous people would have listened to the music created by Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach in Germany.

Special guests of the SherwinJTB Theatre for this debut include; Frederick II (King of Prussia); Georg Philipp Telemann (German Baroque music composer and multi-instrumentalist); Joseph Haydn (Austrian composer); Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (Classical composer); Maria Barbara Bach (Mother of Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach); and Johann Sebastian Bach (Father of Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach).
